We had extra guests at Sunday’s Tea Party . It must be a dream of many young girls.
We drank Bubblegum tea that I purchased at Ama’s Tea House in Gimli right before my wedding in the summer. It is a mix of dried fruit, flowers and gumballs.
It was a bit of a struggle to get serious role-play from the girls today, as the sun was shining and some snow had begun to melt, and I brought cookies and brownies for them to eat.
I announced we had $1,000,000 to donate to a worthy cause in the community and they all came up with an organization or cause to support and why. We ended up giving the money to homeless people who needed homes and to buy equipment for disabled children who cannot afford it. We each had to sign the fake cheques I had brought with me. They look very authentic to 9 year old girls.
I am teaching two classes this weekend. I am gathering supplies to build a forest with the story drama students. Mrs. Twigg and her brave companions are showing their true and inner “superhero” this weekend, as we go and rescue something from a Volcano about to burst! I am not sure what we will rescue yet, or how to make it bubble…doesn’t it have something to do with vinegar?
