I can’t remember the exact measurements for the coffee machine
our lives have meshed that much . You still sleep
and it is too early for a Sunday, to be awake.
Sitting cross-legged at my dining room table, preparing
to set myself presentable
to read “Into the Forest” to other people’s children.

It is rainy and cool and we came into some funds for the 1st time in a long while, and so we hit the shops. Canadian Tire to be exact. I NEVER imagined I would go to a home hardware and be seriously looking and interested in home stuff. We still managed to spend over [...]

The truth is that today marks the first time I have ever truly gardened. I helped mom pick raspberries, peas and carrots in my childhood garden, but nothing past that. I have plenty of happy house plants, I even made clippings of the “twigg family plant” and used them to decorate tables at our wedding, [...]

So happy because an old friend of mine dropped by yesterday with boxes of maternity clothes and lots of wearable. This one is my favorite, probably because it’s not designed as maternity dress.
25 weeks now.
We got to see her lovely face on Thursday, I love her to bits. I’m feeling beautifully big bellied. The hormones [...]

25 weeks pregnant. We are inconsistent, we didn’t take a 24 or 25 week belly shot. Maybe next week.
Tomorrow, we get to see baby girl on ultrasound screen, she wouldn’t get her face out of the placenta long enough for a head profile. The technician had me stay on my hands and knees for 5 [...]

He fed the cats, I reheated the broccoli soup, he sat at the table, he tore off a piece of the Bannock and said, “mmmmmm”.
Wheeee!
I used this recipe.
Have a great day.

I took Julia to school and volunteerd to do a drama workshop with her class for an hour. They are studying butterflies in the classroom, so they told me all about the four stages. They dressed up in the fabric tubes I brought [...]

I won 2 free passes to Winnipeg Children’s Festival this weekend, we will spend today there. It is cold here still, we are going to wear our spring mittens and hats and layered sweaters. I am most excited about critter dipping and then buying fresh produce at the Forks market, Julia is most excited about [...]

24 weeks pregnant. Totally showing, totally glowing, loving my expanding belly and breasts and baby kicks and flips.
I’m reading about slavery and poverty. I take breaks by re-reading McKay’s “the birth house”. I am dreamingly preparing for labour. I want to make groaning bread as I open, as my body opens I want to breathe [...]
