It is rainy and cool and we came into some funds for the 1st time in a long while, and so we hit the shops. Canadian Tire to be exact. I NEVER imagined I would go to a home hardware and be seriously looking and interested in home stuff. We still managed to spend over an hour there, and almost an entire paycheque on home stuff. The plastic tire scent of the store nearly did us in. Nauseating.
We are also the proud owners of a new reel push mower (our neighbor has been giving us hints about lawn upkeep) and a kiddie pool for $10. This has got to bring some attention to us from the neighborhood children. Julia hasn’t befriended a single child since we moved (she attends school in a different area). We also got some reddish wine paint to redo a cabinet that Dave’s mom graciously donated to us. I am desperate to get it done up, but I’m not allowed to paint (pregnant) and it is rainy and not a good way to dry it.
I have one goal by the end of this weekend: finish the pel sweater. I am on the 2nd sleeve, and already weaved in the other odd ends, i should be able to model it by tomorrow’s end…big belly and all.
may your rainy day bring you what you need.
