The Bay garage sale is crazy!
Today, I picked up a giant eraser (about 3 feet tall!) and 13 costumes. The costumes are really just display table covers, but they have elastics at both ends and will make excellent snake costumes.  Julia got a sparkle scarf.

I woke to snuggles and soft urgings to open my presents. (Julia did not believe me when I said sleep was a gift). She presented me with a hand-drawn portrait of me, in a hand glued frame consisting of twigs, flowers, twine and shells. Dave gave me a cool Respect your mother eco-shirt.

I went on a thrift run yesterday and was delighted to find a sewing machine. Mine has been on the fritz lately. I am now the proud owner of a vintage Sears Kenmore machine. I sewed a bit last night and will be taking out a “getting to know your machine” book at the library.
